We would like pictures, but you describe a very nice Luger. The white seen in markings on some pistols is not original; it is added by collectors to show up the markings in picures, so the absence of white is perfectly OK. The full serial number (which may be followed by a letter) is on the front of the grip frame above the trigger guard. The checkering apears finer than typical Masuer luger grips. They fit a VOPO marked Mauser frame that came with it and some other parts. The frame is serial V series. It has the safety hole, which according to the video supports the Police Unit theory. I've also been advised the magazine is Post WWII East German, and that the removed German proof marks may indicate a Russian capture during WWII.
